We’ve added a new version of the TAO to our product portfolio. Starting a new sport or filtering the nuances between all the different types of wings may be overwhelming at first glance. Get an overview of our wings and their benefits. We hope this will make your decision easier.

Entry Level

Everyone starts one day, but the right equipment makes a huge difference. You are looking for excellent pumping performance and stability in a wing. Swept back wing tips will help you stay on the board and avoid crashing while you start gliding. It is always good to keep an overview of your surroundings, therefore we recommend windows.

Your wing: MOJO Bright Edition

Our MOJO gets you going no matter what the conditions look like. It is the first choice for heavy and safety-conscious riders. The extra Leading Edge (LE) handles let you guide the wing in a more upright position. Use them in strong winds or during long sessions to save energy. They also help you to stand up on the board without wingtip touch downs. The soft handle configuration won’t damage your equipment nor yourself. Keep an overview and use the windows for extra vision. Note that the windows efficiency varies depending on your body size.

Intermediate

The runner-up or the feelgood not to worry about anything category seeks for an easy-going package. You are looking for an efficient, lightweight and comfortable product. We recommend the TAO SH or MOJO Pure Edition, because you are still going to learn new maneuvers and don’t want to lift extra weight during your sessions. Make sure you choose the right wingspan according to your body size.

Your wing: MOJO Pure Edition or TAO Soft Handles

The MOJO Pure Edition has more span, and a thicker profile therefore generating more low-end power.

The narrower wingspan of the TAO SH suits everyone and is also very comfortable for smaller riders.

Both wings have excellent upwind performance. The TAO SH is more playful, while the MOJO Pure Edition features more hangtime. Both wings pack easily and are convenient to travel.

Advanced

You already know what you are looking for and don’t want to make compromises. Our advanced rider’s favorite model is the TAO RH, configured to go high and fast. The ergonomic rigid handles perfectly positioned on the center strut give you the best performance and control. The TAO RH is extremely well balanced, and you can ride it only using the front handle. It allows you to practice the most advanced freestyle tricks and swing techniques. This version of the TAO remains super user friendly and is very easy to control on top of it. A product suited for the best, but loved by everyone who gets his on it.

Riding with a harness

You can ride every FLYSURFER wing with a harness. There are attachment points on all soft handle versions. You can mount your loop at the end of the TAO RH front handle.

Air pressure

Always pump the center strut before the leading edge. Ensure to inflate the recommended air pressure as printed next to the valve. We recommend boards which have volumes of 10 liters above your weight. All our wings have been tested with medium to high-aspect ratio hydrofoils from Levitaz and SPG.
