After three months of university, study and sedentarism, FLYSURFER Kiteboarding rider Matias Lee went competing in Canada. “The first day I saw The Spit (Squamish Canada) I was surprised, 22 knots of wind generated by thermal and venturi effect between the mountains, the water a mixture of transparent thaw with the salty sea, an old trail for trains 15 meters wide that penetrates the lagoon, creating an unreal flat water kite spot. We arrived at 6, saw the spot and could not hold ourselves back and desperate went for a session. I broke myself and my body in an amazing session. The next day I could barely move … I did not do well in the tournament, didn’t land almost anything. I was very disappointed with myself and felt that I had to learn everything from scratch. But luckily with the help of Jose Fazio we were able to film this video in the last days, when i slowly got in shape again. That is why I chose this name, Soar represents the short time that I had to recover the habitual rhythm.”
