Hugo Wigglesworth reaches the semi-finals on the SONIC. Luca Ceruti shows strong form.

Mykonos, Greece

The 2026 GKA Big Air World Cup in Mykonos delivered spectacular conditions and world-class riding, with the sport’s elite pushing the limits in front of an enthusiastic Greek crowd. Among the standout performances were FLYSURFER riders Hugo Wigglesworth and Luca Ceruti, who both impressed throughout the competition.

Hugo Wigglesworth continued his rapid rise on the international Big Air scene by securing a place in the semi-finals while competing on the SONIC. Demonstrating exceptional height, hangtime, and technical execution, Hugo confidently advanced through the early rounds and established himself among the event’s top riders.

The semi-final proved to be one of the closest heats of the entire competition. Trading high-scoring tricks with Leonardo Casati, Jason van der Spuy and Shahar Tsabary, Hugo remained in contention until the final moments. Going into the last attempts, Hugo and Tsabary were tied on points before Tsabary landed the decisive trick to claim the remaining place in the final alongside Leonardo Casati.

Although Hugo narrowly missed out on the final, reaching the semi-finals at one of the strongest events of the season marks another major achievement and highlights the performance capabilities of the SONIC at the highest level of Big Air competition.

Luca Ceruti also delivered a determined performance throughout the event, showcasing his aggressive riding style and commitment in demanding conditions. Charging hard through the early rounds against a stacked field of international talent, Luca demonstrated excellent control, consistency and confidence.

While his campaign concluded before the semi-finals, his performance reflected the continued progression of both rider and equipment as he continues to gain valuable experience on the GKA World Tour.

With Mykonos providing another unforgettable showcase for Big Air kiteboarding, both riders leave Greece with plenty of momentum. Hugo’s semi-final finish confirms his ability to challenge the world’s best riders, while Luca continues to build confidence and experience at the highest level of competition.

Congratulations to Hugo and Luca on representing FLYSURFER with outstanding performances! We’re looking forward to seeing what’s next.
