Borja Vellón García
Originally from the heart of Spain, Borja Vellón might not hail from Tarifa as one would expect, but rather from the inland lakes where gusty winds dominate. His journey began in 2006 when he first laid eyes on a kite, sparking a transformative shift from windsurfing to kitesurfing. 2016 Borja discovered hydrofoiling; since then, he has been entirely addicted and devoted to the foil. Despite being accustomed to the gusty winds of the Spanish interior, Borja has found his sanctuary in Faro, Portugal. This picturesque spot captivates him with its stunning landscape and dynamic conditions, offering everything in just one location. Notably, Borja holds the world record for the highest hydrofoil jump, soaring an incredible 30.6 meters above the water. With an unwavering belief in the potential of hydrofoiling, Borja wants to break the 40 meter mark and set new sports records.
