FLYSURFER athlete Daniela Moroz<\/a> (USA) and Denis Taradin (RYF) are the winners of this year\u2019s first event. 100 racers registered & participated.<\/p>\n

„It was so good to be back in Gizzeria, it\u2019s one of my favorite venues for racing and I really love coming back here. The racing was really intense – the biggest fleet we\u2019ve ever seen and the racing was so fun. Everyone is so fast and competitive and it\u2019s cool to see how much the level has increased. It has been really motivating for me to keep pushing myself and improving. I was really happy with how much progress I made this week and I\u2019m excited for the rest of the season.“ – Daniela Moroz[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=“4.7.4″ _module_preset=“default“]On the final day three races were held with wind around 14 knots, flat sea and great expectations, the fleets were keen to get in the water, some might have been too eager and the initial leader of the series, Connor Bainbridge (GBR), was early over the start line, jeopardizing his podium chances. He finished seventh, with Nicolas Parlier sixth and Maxime Nocher (FRA), winner of the last race, fifth.<\/p>\n

The fourth overall is FLYSURFER athlete Th\u00e9o De Ramecourt<\/a> (FRA) climbing two positions from the day before, after a great Sunday that saw him winning the first race.<\/p>\n

Th\u00e9o summarized the event:
\nThe act 1 of the KiteFoil World Series came to an end after 4 days of thought racing in KiteFoil paradise – Gizzeria.
\nEven if most of the races were sailed in a nice sea breeze, we had races in wind from 5 to 25+ knots which made the event pretty nice.
\nI had a lot of fun racing with the 100 riders fleet and even if I didn\u2019t really focus on the results during the event, I\u2019m pretty happy about my performance and my final result.
\nIt was amazing to have the support from my main partners there and be able to spend time talking and testing with the main leader in the KiteFoil industry.

FLYSURFER athlete Martin Dolenc<\/a> (CRO) sailed a solid 9th place, (U19)\u00a0Riccardo Pianosi<\/a> (ITA) became 11th, Jannis Maus<\/a> (GER) took home 12th place right in front of Guy Bridge<\/a> (GBR) and (U19) racer Maximilian Maeder<\/a> (SGP) finishing 14th.<\/p>\n

Florian Gruber<\/a> (GER) injured his hand two weeks before the event in Gizzeria took place, but still managed to sail a 16th place.<\/p>\n

As the curtain falls for this year\u2019s first KiteFoil World Series Act, it opens right away for the Formula Kite U19 Individual Worlds and A\u2019s Youth Foil Worlds which started yesterday on Wednesday July 14th\u00a0as well in Gizzeria, Italy. The upcoming KiteFoil World Series event will be held at lake Traunsee, Austria, 15th\u00a0to 19th September.<\/p>\n
